The workshop will be held in the Weserberglandzentrum near the center of the city of Hamelin (www.hameln.de), a town in Lower Saxony.
Topic
The application of lasers in photovoltaic technology is a new
emerging field. Many of us expect lasers to become as indispensable in fabricating solar cells as they are today in fabricating cars. The international workshop ?Laser Technology in Photovoltaics? brings together researchers form science and industry to share their experience and recent results on laser technology and its future applications in photovoltaics. The subjects will cover development of novel laser sources and laser systems for photovoltaics, laser drilling, laser trenching, ablation of dielectrics, laser contacting, laser soldering and welding, laser annealing, laser crystallization, laser doping, and process control as well as light and matter interaction mechanisms and other related topics.
The workshop is organized by the Institut für Solarenergieforschung Hameln (www.isfh.de) and the
Laser Zentrum Hannover (www.lzh.de) in cooperation with the Competence Network for Optical Technologies PhotonicNet (www.photonicnet.de).
